Dr. Ahmad Ismail is a highly accomplished Specialist Orthodontist and academic with over 40 years of expertise in dental education and clinical practice.
He is the former founder, Deputy Dean, Medical Director, and Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the European University College in Dubai Healthcare City. Currently, he serves as a part-time professor in the Master’s Program at the University of Sharjah.
Dr. Ahmad earned his BDS degree from the University of Baghdad in 1975. He then pursued advanced specialization in France, completing a CES in Pedodontics from the University of Paris V, a CES in Orthodontics from the University of Paris VI (Sorbonne), and a Doctorate in Orthopedic Dentofacial Science (DSO) from Sorbonne University in 1983.
A visionary leader in dental education, Dr. Ahmad founded and served as Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Al-Mustansiriya, Iraq, and also held the position of Dean at the University of Baghdad's College of Dentistry. Additionally, he chaired the university’s Department of Pedodontics, Orthodontics, and Prevention.
He has treated approximately 25,000 orthodontic cases using a variety of advanced techniques throughout his illustrious career, He has mentored over 200 dental professionals, including master’s students, diploma candidates, and residents. His dedication to advancing dental science is reflected in numerous publications in esteemed journals and his recent book, The Roadmap in Orthodontics.
