      Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign Teen uses a series of clear, removable aligners that gently move the teeth into the correct position. These virtually invisible aligners are custom-made to fit each teen’s unique dental structure, ensuring an effective and personalized treatment experience.

      What makes Invisalign Teen unique?

      Invisalign Teen uses the same clinically-proven technology as Invisalign, but with added features specifically for teens: compliance indicators, eruption tabs, and SmartForce attachments.

      Invisalign Teen aligners has a series of tiny blue dots that fade away as your teen wears them for the recommended 22 hours a day. This allows parents and orthodontists to easily monitor wear time and ensure the treatment progresses smoothly.

      Initial consultation

      Your teen’s journey begins with a comprehensive orthodontic assessment with one of our Invisalign-certified Specialist Orthodontists. This includes an evaluation of your teen’s oral health, bite alignment, and suitability for Invisalign treatment. Advanced diagnostics, such as digital X-rays and 3D scans, may be conducted to create a detailed treatment plan.

      Customized treatment plan

      Using cutting-edge digital technology, a precise 3D model of your teen's teeth is created. The orthodontist maps out the step-by-step movement of the teeth and shares a virtual preview of the expected results. This ensures a tailored approach to meet individual needs.

      Fitting the aligners

      Once the custom Invisalign aligners are fabricated, your teen will receive their first set of clear, removable trays. Instructions will be provided on how to wear the aligners properly—typically for 20 to 22 hours daily—and how to care for them.

      Regular orthodontic visits

      Every 6 to 8 weeks, your teen visits their orthodontist for progress checks and to receive the next sets of aligners. These regular appointments ensure that the teeth are moving as planned and adjustments can be made if necessary.

      Final results and retention

      How to Care for Your Invisalign Aligners

      Taking proper care of your Invisalign aligners is essential for maintaining their clarity, hygiene, and effectiveness. Here are some tips to keep them in excellent condition:

      Clean your aligners daily.

      Rinse your aligners every time you remove them, and brush them gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush and clear, unscented soap. Avoid using toothpaste, as it can scratch or discolor the aligners. You may also use Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or a denture cleaner to help eliminate plaque buildup and ensures your aligners stay fresh and odor-free.

      Remove your aligners while eating or drinking.

      Always remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water to prevent staining or damage. Store them in their protective case to avoid loss or contamination.

      Practice good oral hygiene.

      Brush and floss your teeth before reinserting your aligners to prevent bacteria from becoming trapped, which can lead to bad breath or cavities.

      Protect your aligners.

      Avoid exposing your aligners to extreme heat, such as hot water or direct sunlight, as this can warp the plastic and compromise the fit.
